From an early age, I have always had a fascination with history and politics. I graduated from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania with a degree in History. Since then I have obtained three Master's degrees, two in Education and one in History. I am a lifelong learner, always reading, taking classes, and traveling to further my knowledge.  

For the past 16 years I have worked in education, spending a majority of those years in the classroom teaching Government. During that time, I was part of many projects that collaborated with my surrounding community to bring about positive change in our district. Currently, I work for a private company that provides services to public, private, and homeschooled students.

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my family, and am an avid sports fan. I've learned to root for the Panthers, Hurricanes, and Charlotte FC, but I can't shake my love of the Philadelphia Phillies. When I have the opportunity, I enjoy attempting DIY projects and reading historical non-fiction books. But my favorite hobby is enjoying the beach. 

My wife, seven children, and I had the pleasure of moving to Holly Ridge. We absolutely love the ‘small town’ friendly environment with the bonus of being close to the beach. We both continue to work in education, but from home, where we get the pleasure of homeschooling our children. I can see a great deal of potential in this area and want to work to keep Holly Ridge a place where my children want to stay when they grow up!

I hope to serve as your Council Member, but if not it is still my priority to become involved in this town. I feel that the best way to do that is to speak to the leaders in the town, local business owners, and our community members. I will continue to reach out to emergency services, our town manager, local businesses, and others in the community to determine how I can best support them as they help to support our town. I would also love to hear from all community members as to what they feel is working in Holly Ridge, and where we can help support the town more.
